Virtual therapy · North Carolina & New York

You are not
failing.

You're in the middle of one of the hardest transformations a woman can go through. You don't have to carry it alone.

I'm ready to find myself again

A gentle first step, at your pace.

Reclaim Therapy — Resurface. Reclaim. Return.

You used to know exactly who you were.
Now you're not so sure.

You love your baby, and you also miss yourself — and the guilt of that contradiction is exhausting. Everyone around you seems to be glowing. You're just trying to get through the day.

You keep waiting to feel like yourself again. And you're starting to wonder if you ever will.

“You don't need to be fixed. You need to be seen.”

This is matrescence — it can be one of the most disorienting experiences a woman can go through. It is not a character flaw.

Lea Wersan, LCSW and founder of Reclaim Therapy

Meet Lea, LCSW

You deserve to feel seen exactly where you are.

I'm Lea — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mom, and someone who has spent years sitting with women through some of life's most defining moments.

Who I am

My path to this work was shaped not only by my clinical training but by the women in my life. I have witnessed firsthand what it looks like when a mother has no one to turn to — and what changes when she finally does. Those experiences are what drew me to this work and what keep me here.

I bring both professional expertise and genuine human understanding into every session. Because I believe the best therapy happens when you feel not just treated — but truly known.

How I work

I believe you deserve to feel completely seen exactly where you are right now — not rushed, not fixed, not told it'll get easier soon.

In our work together I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches, tailoring each session to what you specifically need in that moment. Our first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. We'll build connection, explore what's brought you here, and begin to understand your story together.

My goal for that first session is simple: that you leave feeling like you just took a very deep breath.

Who I work with

I work with new mothers navigating the identity shift that comes with becoming a mom — the anxiety, the loss of self, and the grief of who you were before.

I work with working mothers carrying the impossible weight of trying to be everything to everyone — fully present at work, fully present at home, with nothing left for themselves.

And I work with couples navigating the major life transitions that crack a relationship open — a new baby, a new season, a shift that was supposed to bring you closer and instead left you feeling like strangers.

If you're trying to find your footing in the middle of everything changing, you're in the right place.

My background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field and 5 years as an LCSW. I received my degree from Touro College. I am licensed in both North Carolina and New York and see clients virtually across both states.
